So, does VD1 Pro support OTA updates? With 5GHz Wi-Fi transmission, you can use the free Baseus app to preview and save footage, view GPS data, and receive your OTA smart dashcam update. Now, let’s talk about why OTA updates are so important.
Generally, a firmware update provides the latest, most optimized features and settings available for your device. With dash cam technology, manufacturers are constantly improving and elevating settings to provide clearer images, more secure surveillance, and reliable features. For Baseus dash cams, OTA updates also optimize any firmware issues from earlier releases. Here are some more specific reasons to update your dash cam firmware:
- To improve dash cam performance. An OTA firmware update can prevent recording disruptions or unexpected device restarts while putting in place the correct fixtures for smoother, high-quality performance.
- Manufacturers also use these moments to fix bugs with dash cam firmware updates. Upgrading the system gives the device a chance to clear errors, upgrade to the latest features, and mend any broken or unwanted code.
- A dash cam OTA upgrade can also drastically improve connectivity and expand your range of coverage.
- Ensuring optimized stability and constant monitoring capabilities.
- Extending dash cam longevity. Regularly updating your dash cam firmware keeps your device at its peak performance at all times, ensuring that your camera stays relevant, connected, and dependable for a much longer time.
Now, traditional dash cams have often had to rely on downloading an update, then manually transferring the update onto an SD card to put into the device. With the Baseus PrimeTrip VD1 Pro dash cam, you can effortlessly update your firmware OTA using our 5GHz Wi-Fi transmission via the Baseus app. So, without further ado, let’s go over how to update Baseus dash cam firmware.
